Blossom Vase III

Description

If you are looking for a statement piece, look no further. They are unique in every way, individually decorated to create a happy and bright space, a space you truly care and love to be living in.

The inspiration behind these vases are flower blossoms, they decorated by elements from different past designs. the repetition of these elements have created a completely different pattern.

The entire vase has been hand painted with such patience and each line has been carved by hand. They show some texture from the carvings but also the exterior has been glazed on the designs with a clear glossy glaze, as a result you will see a raw speckled clay texture and glossy patterns, and interesting texture to touch and look at The inside has been fully glazed for water proofing purposes, and the raw areas in the exterior have been sealed with liquid quartz, an Australian made material which is food safe but it will also protect from stains.

12 cm H x 11 cm Diameter on the widest part.

Materials: The vases were  made with cone 6 stoneware. They are hand carved, hand  painted utilising food safe glazes and underglazes.

Sustainability: Alma Terra products are ethically made by me in my backyard studio, I care about the environment and the footprint on earth, I only use Australian raw materials and products instead of flying them form different parts of the world, I support Australian businesses only.  I recycle and reuse water from the studio to water the veggie garden right outside my creative space. Every left over of clay is recycled until I collect a sufficient amount to make more ceramic pieces.  The kiln is run on solar power to fire my work so I minimise the demand from electricity.
