Have you ever thought of making a few ceramics projects but the studios never offer what you would like to make?, maybe the workshops are just not enough to explore this beautiful media? Or you are wanting to learn ceramics in a more consistent way not just one off?
This clay sessions are hand building classes and you will be deciding what to make during the 3 weeks block (once a week, 2.5 hours a week), you will be discussing directly with me about the level of difficulty and proper timing to make your ceramic pieces. We will be covering some basic knowledge about hand building techniques so you can be confident about making ceramics. This set of classes are ideal if you would like to make a small amount of ceramics but more than at a workshop. Some times there are pieces that require more time and they are not able to be completed at the 2.5 hours workshop sessions I offer.
These sessions are tailored for small groups, they are friendly and in a safe relaxing environment. They are suitable for beginners or for people with some experience. The classes include all materials, firings and glazing.
We will start on the 28th of May for 2 consecutive Thursdays. We will have a week off in between week 2 and 3 so we can allow for the pieces to fully dry and do the first firing. The classes will be finishing on Thursday 18th June with a glazing class.
Please use click and collect option at check out. I will be contacting you to discuss your projects, please check your spam folder.
Disclaimer: Your pottery will be fully glazed with a food safe glaze, however Alma Terra Pottery will do its best to care for your creation but takes no responsibility for the function or durability of your piece, nor any faults that could cause a safety hazard. By purchasing a ticket to this event, you acknowledge and take full responsibility for your own pottery piece and use your finished ceramics at your own discretion.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend for any unforeseen circumstances, please contact me asap. I could be able to accommodate your class at an alternative date that is suitable for both. Classes need to be paid in full at the first class via cash or eftpos.
